Hello friends,
I have this unrelenting desire to share some things with you tonight. So here it goes.
There are times when we are at our weakest that we can begin to question our God and who He is. Let me tell you that is just lies from the devil! Our God, is a God with many names, who loves you. The devil has been watching mankind for many, many years and he knows just the right moment when to plant those seeds of doubt. To put those questions in you mind to that make you question God and who He is, Let me tell you a bit about who my God is ….

The other day my kids and I were watching a cartoon thar was talking about Gideon and his battle against the Medianites. It got me thinking…. Often time as adults we over look the stories we learned in Sunday school thinking we learned all that we possibly can from them and that they are children stories but we couldn’t be further from the truth.

Hello friends! It’s been a while I apologize for my absence. I feel I must explain and share my experience with why I have been unplugged. Ok so to those who know me well, know I long for simpler days (or so I thought).
So I proposed this great idea to my husband, I told him the answer to all our problems, the key to a closer walk to God for ourselves and for our children is to unplug and step back from modernization. Which we did for all the summer and a bit before and after; we disconnect the internet, cable, Netflix, and game systems throughout our house.
Albeit, we did do more things together as a family at first and the effects it had on my children and their games systems was for the better. However, Read the rest of this entry »

After I read the fabulous book I posted about a few days ago. I have really been reviewing some of my past thoughts about the story of the prodigal son/the lost son/..whatever you call it. But first I will ask you to ask yourself a question. Answer it before you read on. . . In the Parable of the Prodigal Son who was the main character?
If you need a refresher the story can be found here.. Prodigal Son Story
Did you give an answer?

We all know the story of Adam and Eve and if not it can be found in Genesis 2:4 and Genesis 3.
Personally, I think the devil has used this story to draw a line between men and women. Which by the way was not God’s plan. We were created for each other to love each other. The helper and the provider.
Many times we have often tried to pin the blame on one person for the fall of man.. First we say, ‘it is satan’s fault because he tempted them’, then we say, ‘well no it was Eve’s fault; if she wouldn’t have ate and then gave it to Adam…’, then some even say, ’well it is Adam’s fault if he wouldn’t have eaten the fruit then God would have had mercy…’.
Even in the Garden you can clearly see that each was quick to place the blame on each other…

There is a book I just recently finished and I think it is quite extraordinary. I am usually one to search out an acknowledge mistranslation…try and move past the trained interpretations and seek the true meaning. Well I was recommended this book from someone who said it was a good read. But it truly over exceeded my expectations.
Now I am not one to read but I do enjoy listening to books and my audible account had some credits and this book was very in expensive and rather short in that the entire book was on audio for only 2hrs and 22mins. It is worth every second of it .
Check it out.. for real and let me know what you think.
